“FRANKIE’S PLEA FOR HELP”

PLEASE HELP SAVE MY LEGS

For those of you who love animals and realize how they are, all to often, the helpless victims of mankind’s abuse and cruelty, please read Frankie’s story below. I am the foster mom for a now 6 month old puppy by the name of Frankie.

He is yet another victim of Animal Cruelty!

This little boy did nothing to deserve the pain and agony he has suffered. He was picked up as a stray on the streets of Philadelphia by a local animal shelter. Only being 4 ½ – 5 mo. old, this poor baby had 1 broken leg and 2 fractured legs. He is now safe and with us – (Philadelphia Fuzzy Paw Rescue).

PLEASE DONATE TO HIS FUND… A PAY PAL BUTTON HAS BEEN SET UP ON: WWW.PFPR.PETFINDER.ORG FRANKIE Here’s the list of Frankie’s injuries:

Fractured right rear leg.
Right front ankle was broken and healed incorrectly on its own.
Left front elbow was fractured, healed incorrectly and may need to be amputated.
The only GOOD leg Frankie has is his left rear!

Frankie’s right rear leg was operated on by Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center in Langhorne, PA, to repair the Right Calcaneus Fracture. He was operated on by 2 Ortho Specialists, Dr. Kelli Russell & Dr. Nicole Salas. He now has a pin & wire holding his leg together, and a very thick splint covering his leg. Antibiotics, pain killers and 3-4 follow ups for bandage changes and x-rays will still need to be done to check and see how the bone is healing.

His 2 ½ hr. operation cost $3,000, which we paid out of our own pocket.
Frankie is and has been on RESTRICTED movement. He must spend hours & hours in his crate during his recovery. He’s sad & depressed and whimpers to let me know he’s unhappy.

Potty breaks are only allowed “on leash”. He’s never played fetch, romped around the yard or just stretched his legs to RUN. Almost everything outside scares him, as he’s never been well enough to be walked or socialized. Have you ever tried to hold back a puppy from playing?????? It’s heart breaking.

Frankie still has a long way to go and WE desperately need YOUR help and prayers for his healing and another surgery to save his left front leg from amputation. PLEASE, if there is anything you can donate to his surgery and follow-up care, please send it to the following address: God Bless you for your kindness.
